This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes Rnq1, an intrinsically disordered prion protein expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Rnq1 is widely used as a marker for the [PIN+] prion state, and detection of its aggregated, SDS-resistant form by western blot supports studies of prion propagation, amyloid seeding, and protein misfolding in yeast model systems. The reagent is supplied as a liquid preparation of 100 µg in a single vial, ready for use in standard WB workflows with yeast whole-cell lysates, and should be stored refrigerated at 4 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw damage to the polyclonal IgG fraction.
