RNF2 (Ring Finger Protein 2), also known as RING1B, is a catalytic subunit of Polycomb Repressive Complex 1 (PRC1) and functions as an E3 ubiquitin ligase responsible for monoubiquitinating histone H2A on lysine 119 (H2AK119ub), a key epigenetic mark that drives transcriptional repression.

Raised in rabbit and purified as an unconjugated IgG, this polyclonal reagent is validated across multiple experimental platforms, supporting western blot analysis of RNF2 expression, immunohistochemistry on fixed tissue sections, immunofluorescence imaging, immunoprecipitation of native chromatin complexes, and chromatin immunoprecipitation (ChIP) for mapping RNF2-occupied genomic loci. Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for comparative studies in mammalian model systems.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid from Antibodies.com, and to preserve activity it should be stored at -20 °C in working aliquots; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles.

Intended for research use only in studies of polycomb-mediated gene silencing, stem cell pluripotency, X-inactivation, and chromatin remodeling. Researchers investigating cancer epigenetics or developmental biology will find this reagent a versatile tool for both bulk lysate analysis and locus-specific chromatin profiling.
