RNF126 is a RING-type E3 ubiquitin ligase whose N-terminal zinc finger and C-terminal RING domains drive Lys-27, Lys-29, Lys-48, and Lys-63-linked polyubiquitination of substrates routed through the BAG6-dependent quality control system and the endoplasmic reticulum-associated degradation (ERAD) pathway. Research on this target spans oncology, where RNF126 promotes proliferation by targeting the cyclin-dependent kinase inhibitor p21 for proteasomal turnover, DNA repair, where it mediates MRE11 exonuclease activation through non-canonical ubiquitin linkages, and receptor trafficking, where it governs endosomal sorting of EGFR, MET, CXCR4, and the cation-independent mannose-6-phosphate receptor. Published studies have also linked RNF126 to frataxin homeostasis with direct relevance to Friedreich ataxia research, and to modulation of B-cell receptor signaling via ubiquitination of activation-induced cytidine deaminase. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied in a 200 µl vial and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat samples. The polyclonal format provides broad epitope coverage for detecting endogenous RNF126 in tissue lysates and fixed sections, supporting work on muscle protein turnover and membrane-associated substrate clearance. For storage, freeze in single-use aliquots to preserve activity and minimize freeze-thaw cycles. This reagent is for research use only.
