This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets RNASE4 (Ribonuclease 4), a secreted pancreatic-type endonuclease belonging to the RNase A superfamily that cleaves single-stranded RNA and contributes to extracellular RNA catabolism and host defense signaling. Raised in rabbit and supplied unconjugated by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is validated for Western Blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples. The 100 µl volume supports multiple blotting experiments, and the polyclonal format offers broad epitope coverage useful when probing endogenous RNASE4 expression in tissues such as liver, pancreas, kidney, and placenta. Sodium azide at 15 mM is included as a preservative, so for downstream applications sensitive to azide the buffer can be exchanged by dialysis or desalting before use. The unconjugated formulation also allows the antibody to be flexibly labeled for downstream detection. Researchers studying innate immunity, extracellular RNA metabolism, or angiogenin-related pathways commonly use this reagent to characterize RNASE4 levels under different physiological and pathological conditions, and the cross-reactivity profile across human, mouse, and rat species makes it a practical choice for comparative studies in cell and tissue lysates.
