The Antibodies.com RICTOR polyclonal reagent is an unconjugated rabbit primary antibody validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. RICTOR (Rapamycin-Insensitive Companion of mTOR) is a ~192 kDa scaffold component of the mTORC2 complex, where it directs phosphorylation of AKT at Ser473 and downstream control of cytoskeletal organization, cell survival, and metabolic signaling. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum in a single vial and is recommended for immunoblotting of cultured mammalian cells and paraffin or cryosectioned tissue. Store aliquots frozen at -20 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve titer; working dilutions can be refrigerated briefly at 4 °C. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes across the target, supporting robust detection in both denaturing (WB) and native (IHC, IF) preparations. Researchers studying PI3K/AKT/mTOR pathway regulation, cancer cell proliferation, and insulin signaling routinely use this reagent to profile mTORC2 assembly and activity in patient-derived samples and model systems.
