This polyclonal antibody targets rhodanese, the mitochondrial thiosulfate sulfurtransferase enzyme encoded by the TST gene. The enzyme transfers sulfur from thiosulfate to nucleophilic acceptors and plays a central role in cyanide detoxification pathways. The Antibodies.com reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, ready for use in Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows against human samples. Because rhodanese localizes predominantly to liver and kidney mitochondria, the antibody is useful for examining sulfur metabolism, mitochondrial biogenesis, and xenobiotic detoxification in tissue sections and lysates. Researchers studying cyanide exposure, mitochondrial disorders, and metabolic liver injury routinely use TST markers to track enzyme expression and subcellular distribution. The polyclonal format offers recognition of multiple epitopes on the 32-33 kDa target, supporting consistent signal across immunoblotting membranes.
