RHEB (Ras homolog enriched in brain) is a small GTPase that anchors mTORC1 activation: its GTP-loaded form directly engages the mechanistic target of rapamycin complex 1 to promote protein synthesis, cell growth, and suppression of autophagy. Loss of upstream repression by the TSC1/TSC2 tuberous sclerosis complex keeps RHEB constitutively active, a mechanism implicated in tuberous sclerosis disease and in several tumor types, which is why RHEB is a recurring subject of cancer biology, neuroscience, and metabolic signaling research.
The Antibodies.com polyclonal anti-RHEB reagent is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The antibody is unconjugated, allowing flexible selection of secondary labels or detection chemistries, and has been validated in Western blot and immunohistochemistry across human, mouse, and rat samples. For handling, aliquot upon arrival and store at -20°C; minimize freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding activity over the working shelf life of the stock.
