Anti-RGS8 Antibody

Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal IgG by Antibodies.com, this Primary Antibody is directed against RGS8 (Regulator of G-protein Signaling 8), a GTPase-activating protein that accelerates GTP hydrolysis on Gα subunits of heterotrimeric G proteins and terminates signaling cascades initiated downstream of G-protein-coupled receptors. The reagent is validated for Western blot detection across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies of receptor desensitization and signal termination kinetics in transfected cell lines as well as endogenously expressing tissue.

RGS8 is most abundantly expressed within the central nervous system, particularly in cerebellar and hippocampal neurons, where it modulates pathways linked to synaptic plasticity and neuronal excitability.
