Rabbit polyclonal anti-RGS4 antibody supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, validated for Western blot detection of Regulator of G-protein Signaling 4 (RGS4) across human, mouse, and rat samples.

RGS4 is a GTPase-activating protein that accelerates GTP hydrolysis on Gα subunits, terminating G-protein-coupled receptor signaling cascades. Researchers use this reagent in studies of neuronal signaling, schizophrenia-associated pathways, and cardiovascular research, where RGS4 modulates GPCR output in tissues including cortex, striatum, and myocardium.

The unconjugated polyclonal reagent is raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, providing multiple epitope recognition that can capture denatured target protein in Western blot. Typical loading of 20-40 µg of total protein per lane yields clean bands, with detection achievable using HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies and chemiluminescent or ECL substrates.

Storage: keep the glycerol-containing solution at -20 degrees C in working aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light for long-term stability. The 50% glycerol cryoprotectant keeps the antibody liquid and ready to use directly from the freezer without re-purification after thawing.
