Anti-RGS17 Antibody

A rabbit-derived polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com directed against RGS17 (Regulator of G-protein Signaling 17), a GTPase-activating protein of the RZ subfamily that accelerates GTP hydrolysis on Gα subunits to dampen heterotrimeric G-protein-coupled receptor signaling. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of an unconjugated preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide, adjusted to approximately pH 7.2.

Validated by western blot, the reagent detects endogenous RGS17 in human, mouse, and rat samples and has been used in studies of RGS17 overexpression in prostate and lung tumor models and its modulation of downstream ERK and PI3K signaling cascades. Because the reagent is polyclonal, it recognizes multiple epitopes across the target, which can support stronger signal capture on immunoblots of cell and tissue lysates compared with monoclonal alternatives.
