RFTN1 (Raftlin) is a 578-amino acid peripheral membrane protein that anchors lipid rafts in B lymphocytes and supports B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling. Raised in rabbit as an unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent, this Antibodies.com antibody detects endogenous human, mouse, and rat RFTN1 in immunoblotting workflows. The reagent is supplied as a 200 µL liquid preparation, sufficient for multiple SDS-PAGE and Western blot experiments after a brief centrifugation step to recover the full volume.

The antibody recognizes multiple epitopes across the Raftlin sequence, making it useful for confirming expression in B-cell lines such as Raji and Daudi, where RFTN1 localizes to lipid raft fractions but is absent from T-cell lines such as Jurkat. Researchers have applied anti-Raftlin reagents to map raft-mediated trafficking, monitor BCR clustering after IgM ligation, and characterize myristoylation and palmitoylation at the G2 and C3 residues required for membrane localization. Aliquot the vial upon receipt and store refrigerated in working volumes to limit freeze-thaw cycles, then pair with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescence detection.
