Raised in rabbit, this polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was generated against a peptide spanning the threonine 165 (T165) region of Replication Factor C subunit 2 (RFC2), one of five subunits in the clamp loader complex that loads PCNA onto primed DNA during replication and nucleotide excision repair. The unconjugated reagent is formulated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, and is validated for western blot detection of RFC2 in human, mouse, and rat samples.
The 100 µl vial provides ample material for repeated immunoblotting experiments focused on DNA replication fork progression, checkpoint signaling, and DNA damage response pathways. Refrigerated storage at 4°C preserves antibody activity, while the sodium azide acts as a preservative against microbial contamination during routine use. Investigators characterizing post-translational regulation of the RFC complex can apply this reagent to probe RFC2 expression and modification across lysates from the three reactive species.
