Anti-REST Antibody

The polyclonal REST antibody from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a stabilizing cryoprotectant. REST (RE1-silencing transcription factor, also known as NRSF) is a ~121 kDa zinc-finger transcriptional repressor that silences neuronal gene programs in non-neural tissues and is widely studied in neurogenesis, Huntington disease models, and oncology. The unconjugated reagent has been validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples, where it recognizes the endogenous REST protein in chromatin and nuclear extracts. Each vial contains 100 µl of ready-to-use stock that can be subdivided into smaller working aliquots, stored at -20 °C, and protected from light to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve antibody activity over time.
