Anti-Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV) Antibody

Supplied through AFMS, the authorized regional distributor for Antibodies.com, this Mouse monoclonal IgG2a reagent is raised against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), an enveloped, single-stranded, negative-sense RNA virus of the Paramyxoviridae family (genus Pneumovirus) that causes upper and lower respiratory tract infections, especially in infants and the immunocompromised. The antibody is provided as a Protein A purified, unconjugated monoclonal at a 1 mg pack size, supplied liquid in 50 mM sodium citrate buffer (pH 6.0) with 0.9 % NaCl and 0.095 % sodium azide as preservative, at approximately 10 mg/mL (± 10 %) with > 95 % purity by SDS-PAGE, and it should be stored at +4 °C where the solution may turn slightly opaque over time. Validated by Antibodies.com for use in ELISA and IFA (immunofluorescence), it specifically recognises RSV fusion protein and is reactive with strains A and B, making it well suited to virology and diagnostic assay development laboratories. The unconjugated IgG2a format allows flexible downstream labelling (HRP, biotin, FITC, etc.) and clean signal generation across ELISA capture or detection workflows and direct or indirect immunofluorescence staining of virus-infected cells.
