REG3G (Regenerating Islet-Derived Protein 3 Gamma) is a secreted C-type lectin with a well-documented role in mucosal innate immunity, especially within the intestinal epithelium. The protein is strongly induced by IL-22 signaling during bacterial challenge and functions as an antimicrobial effector that restricts Gram-positive bacterial colonization of the gut lumen.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes human and mouse REG3G and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows. Provided as 100 µl of polyclonal reagent, it supports detection of endogenous REG3G in intestinal, pancreatic, and hepatic tissue samples where the protein is naturally expressed.

Investigators apply this reagent in studies of inflammatory bowel disease, host-microbe interactions, epithelial regeneration, and acute pancreatitis models. For optimal preservation, store the antibody refrigerated at 4°C for short-term use or frozen at -20°C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles.
