REG3A is a secreted C-type lectin, also known as HIP/PAP (hepatointestinal pancreatic / pancreatitis-associated protein), that is expressed strongly in the small intestinal epithelium and in pancreatic acinar cells, where it contributes to innate mucosal defense through bactericidal activity directed against Gram-positive organisms. Antibodies.com provides this rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against the human REG3A protein, supplied as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (pH 7.2) containing 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative.

The reagent is unconjugated, reactive with human samples, and validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed tissue, and immunofluorescence on cultured cells. Polyclonal coverage allows recognition of multiple epitopes on the target, which is helpful when studying post-translational processing or cleavage products of REG3A. Researchers working on intestinal inflammation, pancreatitis, mucosal regeneration, and gastrointestinal or pancreatic tumor biology use this reagent to localize REG3A within Paneth-like cells, ductal epithelium, and neoplastic lesions where it frequently marks proliferative or stressed epithelial states.

For short-term handling, refrigerate at 4 °C in the dark; for long-term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and keep frozen at -20 °C. The unconjugated format gives full flexibility to pair the antibody with HRP, biotin, fluorophore, or alkaline-phosphatase secondaries chosen to match the intended assay readout.
