Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent targets RCVRN (recoverin), a neuronal calcium-sensor protein also known by the synonyms cancer-associated retinopathy protein, protein CAR, and RCV1. The antibody is raised against a recombinant human RCVRN immunogen and purified by affinity chromatography using the immunogen, then supplied as a 50 µL aliquot at 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. It is unconjugated and validated by the supplier for use in Western blot (WB), immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence (ICC/IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC), with demonstrated reactivity against human, mouse, and rat samples. The preparation is shipped at 4°C, and upon delivery it should be aliquoted and stored at –20°C, with freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Intended for research use only, this reagent is suited to studies of phototransduction termination, EF-hand calcium-binding proteins of the retina, and the autoimmune phenomenon of cancer-associated retinopathy.
