The RBP-Jkappa protein (also called RBPJ, CBF1, or CSL) is the central transcriptional mediator of the Notch signaling pathway, binding the consensus sequence 5'-CGTGGGAA-3' to convert Notch receptor activation into changes in target gene expression. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against RBP-Jkappa and is validated for Western blot and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. The polyclonal format improves tolerance for minor epitope variations, while the unconjugated state lets users tailor secondary detection chemistry to their own HRP, biotin, or fluorophore conjugates. Researchers studying T-cell lineage commitment, lymphopoiesis, angiogenesis, or oncogenic Notch activity commonly probe endogenous RBP-Jkappa distribution in cell lines and primary tissue. Supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum, the reagent can be aliquoted on arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles and preserve lot-to-lot consistency; refrigeration with protection from light is recommended to maintain binding activity across repeated uses.
