RBBP7, also called retinoblastoma-binding protein 7 and historically known as RbAp46, is a WD40-repeat histone chaperone that serves as a core subunit of several chromatin-modifying complexes, including CAF-1, NuRD, and PRC2. Through direct binding of histone H4, the protein supports nucleosome deposition during DNA replication, contributes to the DNA damage response, and participates in cell-cycle progression and transcriptional repression.
This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent, supplied by Antibodies.com as a 200 µL liquid aliquot, was raised against human RBBP7 and is validated for Western blot and flow cytometry workflows. The antibody recognizes the human target, and the stock can be divided into single-use fractions and stored at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the parent vial.
For research use only, the antibody is suited to immunoblotting of cultured-cell lysates, chromatin fraction preparations, and intracellular staining in flow cytometry experiments investigating chromatin assembly, epigenetic regulation, and replication-coupled nucleosome biology.
