Anti-Rb (phospho-S807) Antibody

The recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com selectively recognizes retinoblastoma (Rb) protein only when phosphorylated at serine 807, a regulatory residue modified by cyclin-dependent kinases (CDK4/6-Cyclin D and CDK2-Cyclin E) during the G1-to-S phase transition of the cell cycle.

This reagent is supplied as 50 µl of unconjugated antibody in 1× TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. It is validated for western blot, immunocytochemistry/immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.

In western blot, the antibody resolves the full-length Rb band at approximately 110 kDa. Alkaline phosphatase pre-treatment of lysates abolishes signal, confirming phospho-specificity. Common research uses include cell-cycle studies, tumor-suppressor biology, and oncology research, where S807 phosphorylation status is read as a marker of Rb inactivation and proliferative index. Aliquot upon arrival to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and store frozen at -20 °C in the glycerol-stabilized buffer.
