Offered through the Antibodies.com catalogue, this affinity-purified reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 778–782 (T-L-S-P-I) of the human retinoblastoma (Rb) protein, an immunogen chosen to recognise the endogenous Rb tumour suppressor. The antibody is supplied at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in a 50 µL volume, formulated in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4 containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. Polyclonal in nature and unconjugated, the reagent was generated by immunising rabbits with the synthetic peptide coupled to KLH and subsequently purified by affinity chromatography on an epitope-specific peptide column, ensuring selective binding to the target. Validated applications include Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the antibody has been confirmed to react with human, mouse and rat samples, making it suitable for cross-species studies of Rb expression and phosphorylation status in cell-cycle and oncology research. The product is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications. Larger 100 µL pack sizes are also available through the same Antibodies.com listing for laboratories with higher consumption requirements.
