The RASSF1 protein (Ras Association Domain Family Member 1) functions as a scaffold that integrates pro-apoptotic and cell-cycle checkpoint signals, most famously through the RASSF1A isoform, which is frequently silenced by promoter hypermethylation in lung, breast, kidney, and head-and-neck tumours. Loss of RASSF1A expression is one of the most common epigenetic events in human cancer and is widely used as a biomarker in methylation-specific PCR panels.

Available from Antibodies.com, this unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent targets epitopes on human RASSF1 and is validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, and immunofluorescence, making it useful for studies of Hippo-pathway signalling, MST1/MST2 kinase activation, microtubule stabilisation during mitosis, and tumour-suppressor loss-of-function.

Supplied as 100 µl of liquid antiserum fraction and reactive with human samples, the antibody suits research workflows profiling DNA-damage response, mitotic checkpoint control, and epigenetic silencing across human cancer cell lines and patient biopsy material. Pairing it with methylation-aware assays helps distinguish transcriptional silencing from mutational inactivation of the locus.
