The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets RASGRF1, a calcium/calmodulin-dependent Ras-specific guanine nucleotide exchange factor that couples NMDA receptor activity to MAPK signaling in central neurons. Investigators studying synaptic plasticity, long-term potentiation, and hippocampus-dependent memory formation use this reagent to probe endogenous RASGRF1 expression in mouse and human tissue. The antibody is raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated polyclonal preparation at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, packaged in a 100 µl vial suitable for multiple immunoblots. Validated applications include western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence, with reactivity confirmed against human and mouse samples. The recombinant immunogen corresponds to a region of the full-length RASGRF1 protein, and the polyclonal response enables recognition of multiple epitopes, which is useful when probing tissue sections where single-epitope monoclonal reagents may fail. Recommended storage is at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, since the 50% glycerol content keeps the antibody liquid and active at that temperature. Brief centrifugation before opening recovers any aggregated immunoglobulin. This reagent is for research use only and has not been validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
