The RARA protein (retinoic acid receptor alpha) is a ligand-dependent nuclear transcription factor that mediates cellular responses to retinoic acid during embryonic development, hematopoiesis, and myeloid lineage commitment. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against RARA and supplied at 50 µl as an unconjugated preparation intended for Western blot detection of the human receptor.
The antibody recognizes epitopes on the RARA protein and supports research into retinoic acid signaling, granulocytic differentiation, and the PML-RARA fusion characteristic of acute promyelocytic leukemia. Recommended samples include whole-cell lysates and nuclear extracts prepared under standard denaturing conditions, with chemiluminescent read-out via HRP-conjugated secondary antibodies.
Store the vial at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light. Brief centrifugation before opening helps recover the full 50 µl volume for assay setup.
