Raised in rabbit against full-length human RAP1A, this unconjugated polyclonal antiserum recognizes the Ras-related protein Rap-1A, a 21 kDa small GTPase that cycles between an inactive GDP-bound state and an active GTP-bound state at the plasma membrane. Distributed by Antibodies.com for primary antibody applications, the reagent is reactive against human, mouse, and rat samples, making it practical for cross-species comparison studies in cell line panels and rodent tissue models.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of stock at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, shipped as a liquid vial ready for dilution into standard blocking and incubation buffers. Storage at -20 °C is recommended, with smaller working aliquots advisable to minimize repeated freeze-thaw exposure of the parent vial. As an unconjugated reagent, it can be paired with secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice for chromogenic western blot detection on nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes, or for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded sections.

RAP1A acts downstream of cAMP-regulated Epac exchange factors and upstream of integrin activation, so researchers investigating leukocyte adhesion, synaptic plasticity, or tumor cell migration and invasion frequently use anti-RAP1A reagents to track total protein levels, subcellular relocalization, and changes in activation-state-dependent effector binding across experimental conditions.
