Polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against Receptor Activity-Modifying Protein 3 (RAMP3), a single-pass transmembrane accessory protein that dictates the ligand specificity, cell-surface trafficking, and signaling profile of several G-protein-coupled receptors, including the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR), whose CLR/RAMP3 heterodimer constitutes the functional adrenomedullin 1 receptor. Distributed by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl vial of an unconjugated 1 mg/ml stock in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, the reagent is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse, and rat samples.

RAMP3 is broadly expressed in vascular endothelium, adrenal medulla, pancreatic islets, and hypothalamic neurons, where it governs adrenomedullin and amylin responsiveness, modulates vascular barrier function, and contributes to glucose homeostasis through receptor recycling. Investigators apply this antibody to map RAMP3 distribution in fixed tissue sections, confirm expression in cell-line models of cardiovascular and metabolic disease, and probe GPCR heterodimer assembly by Western blot under reducing conditions.

For routine use, aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store the glycerol stock at -20 °C; the included sodium azide acts as a microbial preservative for short-term benchtop handling.
