The RAMP1 protein (Receptor Activity-Modifying Protein 1) is a single-pass transmembrane accessory protein that heterodimerizes with the calcitonin receptor-like receptor (CLR) to generate a functional CGRP receptor, and also partners with the calcitonin receptor to form an AMY1/amylin receptor. This polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and recognizes RAMP1 from human, mouse and rat, making it a reagent for western blot studies of CGRP signaling, migraine pathophysiology, neuropeptide receptor complex assembly, and vascular or neuronal expression profiling. It is supplied as 100 µl of an unconjugated polyclonal reagent at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) with 15 mM sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. Researchers working on calcitonin gene-related peptide biology or GPCR accessory protein characterization can apply this reagent to detect endogenous RAMP1 expression across human, mouse and rat samples.
