Anti-RALB Antibody

Raised in rabbits and affinity-purified against RALB (Ras-related protein Ral-B), this unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com detects the RalB small GTPase in human, mouse, and rat samples. RalB sits downstream of active RAS and participates in vesicle trafficking, exocyst-mediated exocytosis, filopodia formation, autophagy initiation through Beclin-1, and innate immune signalling via TBK1 activation, helping researchers characterise oncogenic Ras-pathway outputs and membrane trafficking biology.

The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant, in a 100 µl volume. Validated for Western blot (WB), the reagent is intended for SDS-PAGE immunoblotting of whole-cell lysates where differential expression of RalB relative to its paralogue RalA is being measured, for example in cancer cell line panels or in cells harbouring mutant RAS alleles. The unconjugated format allows the end-user to choose their own HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagent, and the polyclonal nature provides multiple epitope coverage that can be advantageous when target abundance is low.

Aliquoting upon arrival is recommended to limit freeze-thaw cycles of the glycerol stock; storage temperature of -20 °C in working aliquots is appropriate, with the Sodium Azide preventing microbial growth during routine handling.
