Anti-Raf-B Antibody

This mouse monoclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets BRAF (also known as Raf-B), a serine/threonine kinase positioned within the RAS-RAF-MEK-ERK signaling cascade that regulates cell proliferation, differentiation, and survival. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of purified immunoglobulin in Tris-Glycine buffer (pH 7.4, 150 mM NaCl) supplemented with 0.2% sodium azide, 0.1 mg/ml BSA, and 50% glycerol for storage stability.

Validated for Western blot detection, the clone recognizes both human and mouse BRAF, making it applicable to studies of MAPK pathway activity, oncogenic signaling in melanoma and colorectal cancer models, and downstream ERK phosphorylation analyses. Researchers use it to assess total BRAF expression across cell lysates and tissue homogenates prepared from cultured mammalian cells or animal model samples.

For routine handling, aliquot the antibody upon first thaw to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C; the 50% glycerol formulation remains liquid at sub-zero temperatures.
