The Rad51 protein is a central effector of homologous recombination, the high-fidelity pathway that repairs DNA double-strand breaks and stalled replication forks. This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com was raised in rabbit and recognizes an epitope conserved across Human and Mouse Rad51, supporting immunodetection of nuclear foci that mark active DNA damage repair sites.
Validated application areas include western blot analysis of repair factor expression, immunohistochemistry on tumor and tissue sections, and ELISA-based quantification. The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of polyclonal serum, helping investigators track BRCA-pathway function, meiotic recombination, genotoxic stress responses, and homologous recombination proficiency in cell-based and tissue-based assays.
