Sourced from Antibodies.com, this primary antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent raised against RAD50, the DNA repair protein also known as hRAD50. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to human RAD50, and the antibody has been affinity-purified using that peptide to ensure the immunoglobulin fraction specifically recognises endogenous levels of total RAD50. The reagent is supplied at a concentration of 1.0 mg/mL in phosphate-buffered saline (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺) at pH 7.4, containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide, and 50% glycerol. It is unconjugated and ships in a 50 µl volume, with the vial kept at 4 °C during transit and recommended for long-term storage at –20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze/thaw cycles. Validation has been performed for Western blotting (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), and the antibody has been confirmed reactive with Human and Mouse samples, making it well suited to DNA-damage-response and double-strand-break repair studies across common laboratory models. The polyclonal nature of the reagent, combined with its unconjugated format, also provides flexibility for downstream labelling or co-immunoprecipitation workflows, and the same product is offered in a larger 100 µl size for higher-throughput experiments.
