The Rad50 protein is a central component of the MRN complex (MRE11-RAD50-NBS1), a sensor of DNA double-strand breaks that activates the ataxia-telangiectasia mutated (ATM) kinase and orchestrates the cellular DNA damage response. The Antibodies.com Anti-Rad50 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent that recognizes epitopes across human, mouse, and rat Rad50, supporting studies of genomic stability, homologous recombination, non-homologous end joining, and telomere maintenance.
Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and ELISA workflows, the unconjugated antibody is supplied as 100 µl per vial and can be paired with any preferred secondary label or detection chemistry. For best results, aliquot on first thaw and store the working stock at -20 °C to limit freeze-thaw cycles, with the antibody remaining active for standard immunodetection. The polyclonal format offers multi-epitope recognition, useful when probing endogenous Rad50 expression in cultured cells, tissue sections, and cell lysates.
