The Rad50 protein forms the structural core of the MRN complex (MRE11–RAD50–NBS1), an ABC-type ATPase that bridges and processes DNA ends at double-strand breaks (DSBs) during homologous recombination and non-homologous end joining. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com was raised against Rad50 and has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse specimens, making it useful for studies of genomic instability, ATM-dependent checkpoint signaling, telomere maintenance, and meiotic recombination.
The reagent is supplied as 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Researchers working on Nijmegen breakage syndrome-like phenotypes, radiosensitivity, and tumor cell DNA damage responses rely on antibodies of this type to probe Rad50 expression, follow recruitment to laser-induced DNA damage foci, and characterize complex assembly with MRE11 and NBS1 in fixed tissue sections and whole-cell lysates.
