Anti-Rad21 Antibody

This Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody specifically detects the Rad21 subunit of the cohesin complex in Schizosaccharomyces pombe. Rad21 (also known as Scc1/Mcd1) is essential for sister chromatid cohesion following DNA replication and acts in homologous recombination repair of double-strand breaks. The reagent is supplied as a 50 µl liquid aliquot of unconjugated IgG and is validated for western blot detection of endogenous Rad21 protein in fission yeast lysates. Storage: keep refrigerated at 4 °C; for long-term use, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20 °C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles. The antibody is intended for research use only in studies of chromatin biology, the DNA damage response, and mitotic chromosome segregation.
