The RAD18 protein functions as an E3 ubiquitin-protein ligase that coordinates post-replication repair following DNA damage, particularly after UV exposure. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and recognizes the human, mouse, and rat RAD18 protein in unconjugated form, supporting western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows.
RAD18 localizes to chromatin at stalled replication forks, where it catalyzes monoubiquitination of PCNA to recruit translesion synthesis polymerases. Investigators studying genome stability, Fanconi anemia crosslink repair, or nucleotide excision repair pathways use anti-RAD18 reagents to monitor recruitment kinetics and protein accumulation at damage sites.
Supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot, the antibody is stored under standard refrigerated conditions and is intended for research use only in laboratory settings investigating DNA damage tolerance and replication stress.
