This rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against human RAC1 phosphorylated at serine 71, providing a means to distinguish the phosphorylated form of the protein from total RAC1 in cell and tissue samples. RAC1 is a small Rho-family GTPase widely studied for its role in actin cytoskeleton reorganization, membrane ruffling, and cell motility, and phosphorylation at residue 71 is one of the post-translational marks used to follow its activation state in intracellular signalling pathways.

The antibody is supplied at 1 mg/ml in 100 µl of PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The glycerol cryoprotectant keeps the stock liquid at −20 °C, while the sodium azide preservative permits routine short-term handling at 4 °C; aliquoting on first use is recommended to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles that can erode phospho-specific binding over time.

It has been validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples, and the unconjugated format lets researchers pair it with HRP, biotin, Alexa Fluor, or other labelled secondary antibodies of their choice. In Western blot the reagent is typically applied to RIPA or SDS lysates, and in IHC on formalin-fixed paraffin sections citrate- or EDTA-based antigen retrieval is generally effective. As an unconjugated primary intended for research use only, it should be handled under standard laboratory biosafety practices and the lot-specific data sheet consulted for recommended working dilutions in each application.
