RAC1 (Ras-related C3 botulinum toxin substrate 1) is a small GTPase of the Rho family that governs cytoskeletal reorganization, cell migration, and intracellular signaling cascades. Phosphorylation at serine 71 (S71) is a post-translational modification associated with downstream kinase activity and is commonly used as a molecular marker for active RAC1 signaling in cellular assays.
