This polyclonal IgG antibody raised in rabbit targets RAB3C, a small GTPase of the RAB3 subfamily that regulates Ca2+-dependent exocytosis and synaptic vesicle trafficking in neurons. From Antibodies.com, the unconjugated reagent is supplied in a 200 µl vial of liquid and is validated for Western Blot detection of the endogenous protein in human and mouse samples.
RAB3C accumulates at synaptic boutons and contributes to the docking and priming of dense-core vesicles, with expression patterns that distinguish it from the closely related RAB3A and RAB3B paralogues. Researchers studying regulated secretion, synaptic plasticity, and membrane trafficking pathways use this reagent to probe RAB3C distribution and abundance in brain lysates and primary neuronal cultures. Store refrigerated at 4 °C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve activity; the polyclonal format provides multiple epitope recognition, which helps in detecting low-abundance targets where monoclonal antibodies may struggle.
