Anti-RAB38 Antibody

Produced by Antibodies.com as a rabbit polyclonal reagent, this antibody recognizes RAB38, a small GTPase of the Rab family that regulates trafficking of lysosome-related organelles such as melanosomes and platelet dense granules. The immunogen-purified IgG is supplied unconjugated in a 100 µL vial and is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous RAB38 in human, mouse, and rat samples.

RAB38 research has focused on Hermansky-Pudlak syndrome, where loss-of-function variants in rodent models disrupt melanosome biogenesis and coat pigmentation, and on alveolar type II pneumocytes, where RAB38 contributes to lamellar body formation and pulmonary surfactant secretion. Investigators studying vesicular transport, pigmentation biology, and lung surfactant homeostasis use this reagent to probe RAB38 expression in cell lysates and tissue homogenates.

For the Western blot application, the antibody is applied to whole-cell or tissue lysates separated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes, and detected using HRP-conjugated or fluorescent secondary reagents.
