Anti-RAB17 Antibody

RAB17 is a small GTPase of the Rab family that localizes to apical recycling endosomes in polarized epithelial cells, where it coordinates transcytosis, sorting of cargo through the subapical compartment, and the biogenesis of tight junctions. Loss of RAB17 activity has been linked to disrupted epithelial polarity and to melanoma cell invasion phenotypes, making the protein a useful marker in studies of epithelial differentiation, junctional biology, and tumor progression.

This polyclonal reagent was raised in rabbit against RAB17 and is supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated preparation in a 100 µl vial. It has been validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and reacts with both Human and Mouse samples, allowing comparative work between patient-derived material, cell line panels, and mouse model tissues. For best results, brief centrifugation before opening collects any liquid that may have accumulated during shipping, and the antibody should be stored refrigerated; aliquot if dilution into smaller working volumes is anticipated, and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the stock to preserve binding activity.
