Anti-QKI Antibody

From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal antibody is raised against recombinant full length Human QKI as immunogen and is unconjugated. It is affinity-purified by affinity-chromatography using epitope-specific immunogen, with a reported purity of >95% by SDS-PAGE. The reagent is supplied at 1mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide, 50% Glycerol, and it detects endogenous levels of QKI protein in Human, Mouse and Rat samples. It is validated for Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunofluorescence (ICC/IF) applications, with an observed molecular weight of ~38kDa.

The QKI target is an RNA-binding protein that has been described as regulating pre-mRNA splicing, the export of mRNAs from the nucleus, protein translation and mRNA stability. It is also reported to be involved in myelinization and oligodendrocyte differentiation, may play a role in schizophrenia, and multiple transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for the gene.
