Quinoid Dihydropteridine Reductase (QDPR) recycles tetrahydrobiopterin (BH4), the essential cofactor for phenylalanine, tyrosine, and tryptophan hydroxylases as well as nitric oxide synthase. The Antibodies.com Anti-QDPR polyclonal antibody is a rabbit-derived, unconjugated reagent supplied at 100 µl per vial and validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human, mouse, and rat samples.
Investigators working on hyperphenylalaninemia, atypical phenylketonuria, and pteridine recycling use this reagent to probe BH4 metabolism in liver, kidney, and adrenal extracts, and to map catecholaminergic and serotonergic neurons in brain tissue sections. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than monoclonal alternatives when tracking endogenous QDPR expression across multiple species.
