Anti-PYGB Antibody

Polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against glycogen phosphorylase, brain form (PYGB), the enzyme that catalyzes the rate-limiting step in glycogenolysis by releasing glucose-1-phosphate from intracellular glycogen stores. The unconjugated reagent from Antibodies.com is provided as a 100 µl liquid preparation at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples. Applications include studies of glycogen metabolism, astrocyte and neuronal energy homeostasis, and altered glycogen mobilization reported in glioma and other tumor models. For long-term storage, keep the vial frozen at -20 °C in aliquots to minimize repeated freeze-thaw cycles; thawed working aliquots may be kept refrigerated and protected from light.
