The Antibodies.com Anti-PYCARD polyclonal reagent is a rabbit-derived primary antibody raised against PYCARD (also known as ASC or TMS1), the bipartite PYD-CARD adaptor that nucleates inflammasome assembly by bridging pattern-recognition receptors such as NLRP3, NLRC4, and AIM2 to pro-caspase-1. Provided as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum, this reagent is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows on human samples, supporting studies of innate immune signaling, inflammasome-driven pyroptosis, and apoptotic pathways in epithelial and myeloid models. Researchers commonly apply it to investigate ASC speck formation, speck-mediated downstream caspase activation, and aberrant PYCARD expression in auto-inflammatory disease, cancer biology, and host-pathogen response research. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes across the target, which can be useful when probing post-translational modifications or isoform-specific responses in cell culture and tissue-based assays.
