This rabbit polyclonal IgG primary antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com at 100 µl in a single vial, specifically recognizes paxillin (PXN) phosphorylated at tyrosine residue 31 (phospho Y31). Tyrosine 31 of paxillin is a well-characterized substrate of focal adhesion kinase (FAK) and Src family kinases, and its phosphorylation state serves as a read-out of active integrin and growth factor receptor signaling cascades involved in cell adhesion, spreading, and migration.

Validated for Western blot (WB) detection on human, mouse, and rat samples, the unconjugated reagent is paired in the lab with HRP-conjugated or fluorophore-conjugated secondary antibodies for chemiluminescent or fluorescent read-out. The polyclonal format allows recognition across multiple epitopes surrounding the phospho-Y31 region, which is helpful when probing low-abundance phosphorylated paxillin pools in whole-cell or tissue lysates.

Typical research applications include studying focal adhesion turnover, cytoskeletal remodeling, mechanotransduction, and downstream signaling events triggered by stimuli such as EGF, PDGF, or fibronectin engagement. The reagent is supplied for research use only and is not intended for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
