This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets paxillin (PXN), a 68 kDa focal-adhesion phosphoprotein that localizes to integrin-mediated cell-matrix junctions and acts as a scaffold for cytoskeletal and signaling proteins. The unconjugated reagent is supplied as a 100 µl vial and is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human and mouse samples.

Paxillin is phosphorylated on residues including Tyr31 and Tyr118 during integrin engagement, growth factor stimulation, and mechanical stress, making this antibody a frequently used marker for studying focal adhesion turnover, cytoskeletal remodeling, and downstream FAK/Src signaling. Researchers apply this reagent to investigate epithelial-mesenchymal transition, tumor cell invasion, wound healing, and integrin signaling across a broad panel of cell lines and primary tissue sections.

The polyclonal format provides broad epitope recognition across full-length paxillin, which is useful for detecting both unmodified and post-translationally modified forms of the protein in cell lysates and tissue preparations. Because paxillin expression is frequently altered in metastatic tumors, the antibody is commonly used in studies of breast, lung, and prostate cancer progression, as well as in developmental models of cardiac and neural crest migration.
