This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets the putative tRNA (cytidine(32)/guanosine(34)-2'-O)-methyltransferase, an enzyme that catalyzes 2'-O-methylation of specific nucleotides within tRNA anticodon loops. Validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC), the reagent recognizes both the human and mouse orthologs of this methyltransferase family member, making it well suited to studies of RNA modification biology, tRNA processing pathways, and translational regulation.

FTSJ-family methyltransferases install 2'-O-methyl marks at cytidine 32 and guanosine 34 of certain tRNAs, an activity linked to codon-anticodon pairing accuracy and ribosomal reading frame maintenance. Researchers working on X-linked intellectual disability genetics, ribosome biogenesis, stress granule biology, or tRNA epitranscriptomics can apply this reagent to detect endogenous protein in cell and tissue lysates by WB and to localize expression in fixed tissue sections by IHC.

The antibody is supplied as a 100 µg aliquot in an unconjugated format, ready for pairing with the secondary antibody and detection chemistry of the user's choice. For storage, aliquot upon arrival and freeze at -20°C; avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve polyclonal immunoglobulin integrity. The polyclonal preparation contains a heterogeneous mix of immunoglobulin clones that recognize multiple epitopes on the target, increasing robustness across different sample preparations. Host species is rabbit, reactivity covers human and mouse, and the product is intended for research use only.
