Manufactured by Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against PUF60 (poly(U)-binding-splicing factor 60), a nucleic acid–binding protein also known as FIR, RoBP1, or Siah-BP1. The immunogen used to generate the antibody is a recombinant human PUF60 protein, allowing the reagent to detect the endogenous level of total PUF60 in lysates and cells. Supplied at a working concentration of 1.0 mg/mL, the product is offered in a 50 µL volume and is unconjugated, giving users full flexibility to couple it to fluorophores, enzymes, or beads of their choice. The buffer formulation is phosphate-buffered saline at pH 7.4 (without Mg²⁺ and Ca²⁺), containing 150 mM NaCl, 0.02% sodium azide as a preservative, and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. For transport, the vial is shipped at 4 °C; on receipt it should be aliquoted and stored at –20 °C, with repeat freeze/thaw cycles avoided to preserve activity. Validated reactivity covers Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting broad use across standard cell- and tissue-based workflows. The recommended application listed by Antibodies.com for this catalog number is Western blotting (WB), where the reagent is used to visualize the ~60 kDa PUF60 band. With its polyclonal Rabbit host background, this primary antibody is well suited for research programs investigating RNA splicing, transcription regulation, and FUSE-binding protein signaling pathways.
