PUF60 (Poly(U)-Binding Splicing Factor 60) is an RNA-binding protein that participates in pre-mRNA splicing regulation and 3'-end processing, and it is also known as RoBP1 and FUSE-binding protein-interacting repressor. This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised in rabbit and supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antiserum, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples. The antibody recognizes the full-length PUF60 protein and is widely used by researchers studying alternative splicing, transcription-coupled RNA processing, and chromatin-associated RNA metabolism.

Clinically relevant applications include investigations into Verheij syndrome, a rare congenital developmental disorder caused by PUF60 haploinsufficiency, as well as oncology studies where altered PUF60 expression has been linked to breast, colorectal, and lung cancers. The reagent is also a useful probe for pull-down or co-immunoprecipitation experiments aimed at characterizing the FUSE-binding protein / FIR / PUF60 regulatory complex on active promoters.

For handling, aliquot the antibody upon arrival into working volumes and store at -20°C, avoiding repeated freeze-thaw cycles to preserve binding performance across multiple blotting or staining experiments. The unconjugated format gives users full flexibility to conjugate the antibody to HRP, biotin, fluorophores, or gold nanoparticles for downstream detection, while the rabbit host allows pairing with a broad range of anti-rabbit secondary reagents.
