PTTG1 (Pituitary Tumor-Transforming Gene 1), also known as Securin, is a cell-cycle regulator that controls the metaphase-to-anaphase transition by sequestering separin (ESPL1) until ubiquitination by the APC/C complex triggers its degradation.
